At Chadwick Optical, we're collaborating to build a new model for low vision care - where patients can get real help for their conditions through a close collaboration between their examining and prescribing OD, the optician, and a highly experienced optical lab. Your patients will already be under an OD or MD's care for primary care, injections, etc and you will be able to review their current care records. They will be prescreened for their visual expectations and goals before their appointment so you have a better understanding of the patient and they have realistic expectations of their visit too. This is not a "how many patients can you see in an hour" type of grind. You will have adequate time to take care of the patient in front of you, really hear them and render thoughtful solutions. In addition to seeing patients, there is an expectation to participate in local events, share information about the practice with local retirement communities and other potential referral sources. We are building a new model that we are designing to replicate in other communities. Someone with low vision experience and/or residency would be preferred, but is not entirely necessary. A strong curiosity and a desire to do amazing things is a far more important attribute. About Us Chadwick Low Vision Center is a first of its kind, highly specialized vision rehabilitation clinic powered by Chadwick Optical - a pillar in the low vision community for decades. We are not and will not be a standard eyeglass shop. We serve two distinct purposes in our community:

Low Vision Rehabilitation:

We restore independence to patients suffering from Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, and other forms of vision loss through specialized optics and devices.

Master Opticianry:

We are the "relief valve" for complex optical fits that standard dispensaries cannot handle. While the optometrist will not be directly responsible for the opticianry services we offer, there may be occasions where an optometric consultation is warranted. Core Responsibilities Conduct specialized low vision evaluations, prescribing optical aids, electronic magnifiers, and visual rehabilitation strategies. Work with the optician to troubleshoot complex prescriptions Serve as the clinical face of the practice, fostering relationships with referring retina specialists, state agencies, ophthalmologists, and local occupational therapists. Maintain accurate, compliant charting in Compulink EHR. Write and submit follow-up reports to referring providers. Prepare appointment summaries and recommendations for patients. Participate in weekly team meetings to continually ensure the practice is providing the best possible customer experience. Why Join Us? Pay:

$130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
