is located in the rapidly growing community of Clarksville, TN, just 40 minutes from Nashville! Due to the proximity of Ft. Campbell U.S. Army base, this role allows you to see patients with a wide variety of pathology and refractive needs. We believe our doctors are the heart of our practice. We remove the complexities of practice management- allowing you to spend your time with patients, not paperwork. You will enjoy the support of a full team of trained optical staff members - including trained optometric technicians, opticians, contact lens technicians, front office staff, and operations support team including an Office Manager. Experienced ODs and New Grads welcome. Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset.
Your regular duties will include:
Perform comprehensive eye exams Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease Prescribe corrective lenses Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress Handle eyecare emergencies Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree Valid state license to practice optometry Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities Excellent verbal and written communication skills A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills Compensation We reward our doctors with competitive salaries, commensurate with experience. Our base starting salary generally ranges from $130,000 to $175,000 annually for entry to early-career levels. Along with our lucrative bonus structure, our full-time experienced optometrists earn upwards of $200,000. We offer typical benefits as well as reimbursement for malpractice insurance and licenses fees, plus a stipend for continuing education.
