Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-time Optometrist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Unlike a typical optometry practice, our close-knit team works in a modern facility where compassionate, patient-centered care is the highest priority. This position is well suited for an optometrist who wants to grow professionally or maintain clinical skills after retirement. Patient volume is lower than in most private practices, and a medical scribe is provided to streamline documentation. We offer substantial scheduling flexibility and will work with the successful candidate's availability. Duties Provide routine vision care and medically based optometric services.

• Perform refractions and prescribe eyeglasses.

• Screen for ocular and systemic diseases and make appropriate referrals.

Requirements Education:

Doctor of Optometry degree from a school or college accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE).

Licensure:

Current, valid license to practice optometry in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Professional Liability Insurance:

Coverage is provided by Lackey Clinic.

Availability:

Ability to work one or two eight-hour days per week. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service and education.
