Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our fire-based EMS team. This role involves providing advanced emergency medical care to patients in critical situations, primarily responding to 911 calls. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality pre-hospital care, working on a 48/96 schedule, and responding exclusively to emergency incidents. Firefighter paramedics are preferred but not required, and this position offers an opportunity to serve the community in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. $2500 sign on bonus Responsibilities Respond promptly and efficiently to 911 emergency calls, providing immediate medical attention to patients in need. Deliver advanced life support (ALS) interventions including airway management, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and trauma care. Assess patient conditions accurately and develop appropriate treatment plans on-site. Collaborate with fire department personnel and other emergency responders to ensure coordinated patient care. Transport patients safely to medical facilities while continuously monitoring their condition en route. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments administered, and other relevant information. Ensure all medical equipment and supplies are properly maintained, sanitized, and ready for use at all times. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, medical standards, and local regulations governing emergency medical services. Experience Prior experience as a Paramedic is preferred; however, qualified applicants with relevant training or certification will also be considered. Firefighter paramedics are encouraged to apply; experience in fire-based EMS is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations with professionalism and compassion. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with team members and other emergency personnel. Valid certification as a Paramedic from an accredited program is required; ongoing education in emergency medical services is a plus.
