Paramedic ED Willis-Knighton Health System - 3.7 Shreveport, LA Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications PALS Certification BLS Certification ACLS Certification NREMT Paramedic EMT-P Certification First aid and CPR Full Job Description Emergency Department Paramedic The Emergency Department Paramedic works collaboratively as an integral member of the healthcare team under the oversight of the Emergency Department Physician. This position provides advanced emergency care and technical support to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment while practicing within NREMT, Louisiana Bureau of EMS, and Willis Knighton Health guidelines. Minimum Qualifications Current NREMT Paramedic certification Current Louisiana Bureau of EMS Paramedic licensure Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Minimum of three (3) years of active paramedic experience Key Responsibilities Obtain and document patient assessments, vital signs, EKGs, and other clinical data as permitted by scope of practice Administer approved medications and treatments Initiate and maintain IV access and perform approved advanced procedures Assist physicians and nurses with emergency procedures and patient care Perform CPR and participate in resuscitation efforts Receive EMS handoff reports and coordinate with the healthcare team Maintain clinical competency, accurate documentation, and compliance with all organizational policies and standards Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, patient-centered care, and continuous quality improvement
