The Patient Navigator for Pediatric Hematology and Oncology works in collaboration with the Hematologist/Oncologists,/APN's, and the entire healthcare team, oversees and supports this patient population and their significant other(s). This care is begun during initial consultation and continues throughout the treatment continuum.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Graduate of an accredited program in Nursing RN with at least 5 years of clinical experience in a relevant clinical specialty (pediatric hematology/oncology,) Excellent communication skills Good computer skills Strong organizational, time management, critical thinking skills Ability to work independently and also collaborate with the healthcare team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms

Licenses and Certifications Required:

NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

Certification in CPHON. If not currently certified, to be certified within one year
