In this vital role, you will support surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, assisting with patient transport, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Your proactive approach and compassionate attitude will help create a seamless experience for patients before, during, and after their procedures. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced ambulatory environment committed to excellence in patient outcomes. Duties Assist with patient transport. Prepare operating rooms by setting up necessary equipment, supplies, and ensuring cleanliness in accordance with infection control standards. Support surgical staff by handling manual tasks such as heavy lifting and safe lifting practices to ensure a smooth workflow. Implement isolation precautions and other infection control protocols to maintain patient safety standards. Provide compassionate patient care by helping patients with mobility, comfort, and basic needs before procedures. Skills Prior experience in an ambulatory surgery center settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques to respond effectively in emergency situations. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Familiarity with infection control measures, including isolation precautions and safety protocols. Excellent patient care skills combined with a compassionate approach to support diverse patient needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on patient safety standards. Experience working in high-pressure environments requiring quick thinking and adherence to safety measures.
