Noon to Midnight 20 hours per week Every other weekend Every other holiday Make a Difference in Every Patient's Journey As a Patient Transporter, you play a vital role in the patient experience by ensuring patients, equipment, supplies, and medications are transported safely and efficiently throughout the hospital. This position offers the opportunity to interact with patients, caregivers, and clinical teams while helping support the delivery of exceptional care. Responsibilities Patient Transport Safely transport patients and necessary equipment between nursing units, treatment areas, diagnostic departments, and other designated locations. Ensure timely and accurate transportation while maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and safety. Assist in moving adjunct equipment needed for patient care. Supply & Medication Delivery Deliver supplies, equipment, medications, and other materials to patient care areas and hospital departments in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure proper medication handoff procedures are followed when delivering medications to nursing staff. Equipment Maintenance Inspect, clean, and disinfect transportation equipment according to established department procedures. Help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient transport environment. Documentation & Communication Accurately document transportation activities using the Transport Tracking System and other department tools. Report transportation issues, delays, or unusual situations to department leadership as appropriate. Maintain clear communication with nursing staff, clinical teams, and fellow employees to support efficient patient flow. Customer Service Excellence Provide compassionate, courteous service to patients, families, visitors, and staff. Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude in every interaction.
