Group Fitness Coach

Job Description

The WellRock is seeking a dedicated and motivated fitness professional to join our coaching team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop as a high-quality strength coach within a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Our training model emphasizes precise movement standards, attention to detail, and progressive strength development. Our client base consists primarily of individuals aged 40+ who have trained with us for several years. We are looking for a coach who is committed to building long-term relationships and invested in our clients' continued success. Programming is provided; coaches are responsible for effective implementation within small group classes capped at 11 participants. The WellRock operates on a 4 week strength training cycle utilizing progressive overload. We use barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and resistance bands, with a focus on quality movement and safe, effective training. We welcome candidates who bring a personal story of growth or transformation, individuals whose experiences drive them to serve others and continuously improve as a coach. Responsibilities Lead 4 - 8 group classes per week, with potential for increased hours Prepare for each class by reviewing exercises, demonstrations, regressions, and progressions Deliver clear instruction and demonstrate proper technique Modify exercises to meet diverse fitness levels while maintaining movement standards Foster an engaging, supportive, and empowering training environment Build and maintain positive relationships with members Participate in regular staff meetings Opportunity to expand into personal training at a higher rate following successful group class integration Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in group fitness instruction or personal training Current fitness certification required CPR/AED certification required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and commitment to continuous learning Supportive, people-oriented, and adaptable Strong attention to detail Ability to perform all essential physical requirements of the role
