Group Exercise Zumba Instructor
Job Description
Come join a busy health and wellness fitness center as a Group Exercise- Zumba Instructor in our Salinas, CA location. Responsible for well designed, safe, fun and challenging exercise programs/classes for a diversified member population by performing the following duties. Develops a curriculum for Group Exercise- Zumba Instructor Program as assigned by the Fitness Director. Lesson plans must be developed for all classes at least one week in advance. Maintains logs of class attendance for classes taught. Teaches classes in a fun safe and challenging manner. Classes must be designed to provide an effective exercise program in an entertaining manner. Inspects the studio to insure lighting, temperature, sound system and equipment are all in top working condition. Reports problems and takes appropriate action. Has complete knowledge of the Club's safety procedures including the evacuation of the studios and pool facilities in case of an emergency. Evening class availability preferred.
Education/Training Degree:
Undergraduate degree in Exercise Science or health-related field is preferred, but not required. Must have Basic First Aid and AED training. Experience Minimum 1 year of experience in the instruction of group exercise programs required. Licenses & Certifications AFAA or IDEA certified is preferred but not required.CPR Certification Job Type:
