Job Description
Group Cycling Instructor Body Kinetics Position Summary Body Kinetics is seeking energetic, knowledgeable, and motivating Group Cycling Instructors to lead safe, challenging, and fun 50-minute performance-based cycling classes. Classes combine resistance, RPMs, heart rate, watts, and music to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, endurance, and cycling performance. Instructors are responsible for delivering an engaging workout while maintaining proper cycling form, safety, and a strong sense of community. Key Responsibilities Arrive early to prepare music, fans, Myzone, bikes, and other equipment. Welcome members, introduce yourself to new participants, and assist with proper bike setup. Begin each class by explaining the workout format, riding style, resistance and RPM expectations, and use of Myzone when applicable. Lead a well-structured workout incorporating techniques such as hill climbs, tempo riding, intervals, standing climbs, and sprints. Use music and rhythm to create an energetic class while maintaining safe and appropriate cycling speeds. Coach resistance, RPMs, heart rate, and/or watts based on the class format. Demonstrate and reinforce proper cycling form and safe riding techniques. Offer modifications so participants can work safely at their individual fitness levels. Motivate and engage members throughout class while making the experience challenging and fun. Help create the welcoming, social, and community-focused environment that defines Body Kinetics cycling. Instructor Expectations Body Kinetics Cycling Instructors should have a strong understanding of indoor cycling, cardiovascular training, resistance, cadence, and proper riding mechanics. Instructors must be comfortable leading and motivating groups and should demonstrate professionalism, reliability, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills. Indoor cycling or group fitness certification and current CPR/AED certification are preferred or required according to Body Kinetics employment standards.
