Group Fitness Coach
Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Group Fitness Coach and inspire members to achieve their health and wellness goals through engaging, energetic, and expertly led group exercise classes. In this role, you will design and deliver a variety of fitness programs, motivate participants, and foster a positive environment that encourages personal growth and community connection. Responsibilities Lead diverse group fitness classes such as aerobics, yoga, Pilates, cycling, CrossFit, and dance-based sessions with enthusiasm and professionalism Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, ensuring correct body mechanics and biomechanics to maximize safety and effectiveness Design innovative fitness programs tailored to different skill levels, incorporating principles of physiology, anatomy, and physical fitness training Motivate participants by providing positive reinforcement, coaching on body mechanics, and fostering a supportive environment Ensure safety by monitoring class participants closely, responding promptly to emergencies with CPR or AED when necessary, and adhering to manual handling protocols Communicate clearly with clients about class routines, modifications, and health considerations to enhance their experience Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing participant questions, providing personalized advice when appropriate, and promoting ongoing engagement in group fitness activities Requirements Proven experience in the fitness industry with certifications in group fitness instruction; additional certifications such as Pilates, Yoga, Cycling, or CrossFit are highly desirable Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics to effectively demonstrate exercises and correct form Valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certification; first aid training is preferred Demonstrated ability to teach exercise routines confidently across various formats including yoga, Pilates, cycling classes, dance-based workouts, or sports coaching Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants while ensuring safety protocols are followed Physical fitness training experience with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely when needed for equipment setup or class demonstrations Prior experience working in health clubs or fitness centers is advantageous; familiarity with gym equipment operation is a plus Passion for coaching others, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to creating an inclusive workout environment Embark on a rewarding journey helping others lead healthier lives! Pay:
