Job Description

Pilates Reformer Instructor Reports to:

Wellness & Spa Pay Range:

$70 or more per hour session Wednesdays/Saturdays Pilates Reformer Instructor is comprehensively certified to lead private and small group Pilates Reformer sessions with three years or more experience. They are fitness professionals with extensive experience in the fitness field. This individual must be knowledgeable of all fitness offerings at the fitness center, hold current certifications liability insurance. They must possess excellent customer services skills in order to provide the highest quality environment and instruction that will meet the needs of our members/guests in the area of health and excercise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Be on time, prompt with each appointment and perform sessions with total focus on safety, attention to form and attentiveness. Provide consistent professional fitness class/personal training sessions in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices. Properly care for equipment and maintain fitness equipment. Maintain a clean, well-organized fitness area. Have complete knowledge and understanding of all fitness offerings while educating and training members/guests in these areas. Perform administrative duties in a complete, organized and accurate manner. Communicate to management any occurrences involving staff or members/guests in the fitness area that require attention. Actively promote fitness including classes, trainings, special events and promotions. Handle members/guests' questions and concerns professionally and courteously. Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by members/guests ensuring complete satisfaction. Possess ability to work without direct supervision. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment. Regularly attend, participate in and support training and meetings for fitness.

Position requirements:

Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills. Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality. Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge. Must be a team player.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Must have a current National Certification in Fitness or Personal Training. Must be comprehensively trained in the Pilates Reformer including the tower and chair. Must have a current CPR certification. Minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance with Club Pelican Bay listed as a certificate holder.
