In this role, you will lead engaging group classes, demonstrate proper techniques, and foster a welcoming environment that encourages physical and mental well-being. Your expertise will help clients improve flexibility, strength, and mindfulness while ensuring safety and motivation throughout their fitness journey. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your love for yoga and contribute to a vibrant community dedicated to health and wellness. Duties Lead dynamic group yoga classes tailored to various skill levels, emphasizing correct posture, breathing techniques, and mindfulness. Demonstrate exercises clearly, providing modifications to accommodate different abilities and ensure safe practice. Monitor participants during classes to ensure proper body mechanics, prevent injuries, and promote safe manual handling practices. Educate clients on anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics to enhance their understanding of movement and injury prevention. Maintain a positive and motivating atmosphere that encourages participation, confidence, and progress. Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including first aid readiness and AED operation during emergencies. Qualifications Proven experience teaching yoga classes with a strong understanding of yoga instruction techniques. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics relevant to yoga practice. Certifications in Yoga Instruction from accredited programs; additional certifications such as Pilates instruction or sports coaching are a plus. Familiarity with group fitness class management, program design, and coaching methods. Basic first aid certification (CPR/AED) required; additional skills in cycling or dancing are advantageous for diverse class offerings. Excellent client communication skills with a passion for motivating others in their fitness journey. Prior experience working in health clubs or fitness industry environments is preferred.
