Fitness Trainer -

Older Adults Schedule:

Wednesdays & Fridays, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM; with opportunity for more!

Position Type:

Part-Time We are looking for an energetic, dependable, personable Fitness Trainer who enjoys helping older adults improve their health, strength, mobility, and overall quality of life.



This position is ideal for someone who loves fitness and wellness but, just as importantly, enjoys working with people. We are looking for a trainer who can build relationships, communicate clearly, encourage participants of varying fitness levels, and adapt exercises or programming as needed. What You'll Do Lead safe, engaging fitness sessions for older adults Provide clear instruction, encouragement, and exercise demonstrations Modify exercises to accommodate different abilities, fitness levels, and limitations Adjust workouts on the fly based on participant needs Help create a welcoming, positive, and supportive exercise environment Encourage participants as they work toward improved strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and overall wellness Monitor participants during exercise and prioritize proper form and safety Build positive relationships with participants and help make exercise enjoyable and approachable What We're Looking For The right person will have: Strong communication and interpersonal skills A positive, encouraging, and patient personality The ability to think on their feet and modify exercises when necessary A genuine interest in fitness, health, and wellness A desire to help others improve their health and quality of life Dependability and the ability to work independently Comfort working with older adults and individuals with varying fitness abilities Preferred Qualifications A

• Personal Trainer Certification or Group Exercise Certification is preferred, but not required for hire . However, if you currently do not possess one, we expect one to be obtained within 3 months of hire.

• We are open to candidates with relevant fitness, exercise, health, wellness, recreation, coaching, or similar experience who have the right personality and willingness to learn. Current CPR/AED certification is also preferred and will be required within 3 months of hire.

Schedule Wednesday:

8:00AM-3:00

PM Friday:

8:00AM-3:00PM Approximately 14 hours per week, with opportunity for more

•This position affords opportunity for growth. If committed to growing as a trainer, our gym space can accommodate more classes throughout the week and offers the opportunity to utilize the space as a private personal training studio.
