Job Description
Position is for 2 locations: 7905 Ogden Ave. Lyons, IL & 7355 W. Archer Ave. Summit, IL Overview We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitness and health, with the ability to inspire and motivate clients to achieve their personal fitness goals. This role involves designing and leading engaging fitness programs, providing expert guidance on body mechanics, and fostering a supportive environment for all participants. Responsibilities Develop and implement personalized fitness programs tailored to individual client needs and goals. Lead group fitness classes, ensuring participants are engaged, motivated, and practicing safe exercise techniques. Provide instruction on proper body mechanics and techniques to maximize effectiveness and minimize injury risk. Conduct assessments of clients' physical abilities and progress, adjusting programs as necessary. Maintain knowledge of current trends in fitness, health club operations, and sports coaching methodologies. Promote fitness services and programs through effective sales strategies to attract new clients. Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Maintain a clean and organized workout environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and functional. Qualifications Strong knowledge of anatomy, and physiology, as it relates to exercise. Experience in program design for various fitness levels and goals. Background in group fitness instruction or personal training is preferred. Familiarity with health club operations and fitness sales techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of individuals. Certification in personal training or group fitness from a recognized organization is required. Previous experience in sports coaching or physical education is a plus.
