Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Group Fitness Instructor and inspire members to achieve their health and fitness goals through engaging, energetic, and expertly led classes. In this role, you will design and deliver diverse group fitness sessions that cater to all fitness levels, fostering a motivating environment that encourages participation and progress. Your expertise in biomechanics, physiology, and strength training will help members improve their body mechanics, enhance their physical fitness, and develop sustainable healthy habits. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead group classes, and make a positive impact on our vibrant community of fitness enthusiasts. Ideally, you have experience and/or expertise with prenatal and postpartum clients. Duties Lead high-energy group fitness classes across various formats such as strength, Pilates, yoga, mobility, and sports conditioning to motivate participants of all ages and abilities Develop and implement tailored fitness programs that align with members' goals, incorporating strength and conditioning training principles Ensure safety by demonstrating proper body mechanics, manual handling techniques, and correct exercise form during all sessions Maintain a thorough understanding of biomechanics, anatomy, and physiology to adapt exercises for individual needs and prevent injury Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with participants, offering modifications, and encouraging ongoing engagement Confidence to energetically command a room of clients Conduct health assessments and monitor participant progress to refine program design accordingly Operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and perform CPR or first aid when necessary to ensure a safe environment for all attendees Availability to teach evenings and weekend mornings, and at least 2 classes a week Experience Proven experience in the fitness industry with a strong background in group fitness instruction or personal training Knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and strength training techniques applicable to diverse populations Knowledge and/or certification in pre/postnatal fitness Demonstrated ability to develop innovative fitness programs tailored to different skill levels and goals Experience working with individuals requiring specialized coaching or sports conditioning is highly desirable Strong team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire participants in a group setting Familiarity with gym operations, health club environments, or fitness centers enhances effectiveness in this role
Required Certifications:
CPR/AED first aid, Group Fitness/Personal Training/specific training. Additional qualifications in strength training instruction or sports coaching are advantageous The role also involves collaborating with other studio staff to ensure a positive client experience, and supporting studio events or promotions Instructors are expected to maintain a clean and organized training space, uphold studio standards, and contribute to an encouraging and inclusive environment

$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
