About This Opportunity We're seeking a motivated Member Experience Specialist to lead the front end of the client experience, from the first contact to long-term retention. This role is equal parts coach, communicator, and connector. You'll be responsible for converting leads into long-term members through our proven onboarding process and delivering meaningful touch points that keep people engaged and supported. When & Where This is a full-time, salaried position requiring a 40-hour work week. We are currently hiring for both morning and afternoon/evening schedules: AM Schedule 5:30 AM

Essential Roles & Responsibilities As the Membership Specialist, you play a key role in the growth and sustainability of Activate Body. In this role you will work as a trainer ("on the floor") for 20-25 hours per week and spend the remaining time focused on onboarding, member communications, and lead follow-up.

Lead & Inspire:

Embody and promote Activate Body's values: Enthusiasm, Drive, Empathy, and Professionalism. Create a culture of fun, support, and professionalism among staff and members. Engage members with warmth, clarity, and confidence.

Coach:

Lead small-group and one-on-one personal training sessions tailored to each member's fitness levels and goals. Coach members on proper techniques to prevent injuries and maximize results. Provide ongoing encouragement, track progress, and celebrate member milestones. Collect and report data on members progressions, injuries, aches, pains, etc. Grow and Retain the

Membership Base:

Promptly follow up with all new members via text, phone, and email to ensure timely, high-quality touch points. Conduct engaging intro calls and in-person consults that highlight our value and align with each prospect's goals. Close new sales by clearly communicating membership options, handling objections with empathy, and building urgency. Hit weekly and monthly KPIs for new memberships and lead conversion. Maintain regular contact with active members to check on satisfaction, goals, and upcoming needs. Flag and follow up with at-risk members to re-engage them with tailored solutions. Ensure contracts and billing align with members' actual usage and status—making updates proactively when needed. Log all lead/member interactions in the Sales Pipeline accurately and on time. Use Sale Pipeline trends to spot opportunities and manage follow-ups effectively. Partner with our front desk and coaching team to ensure a seamless, high-touch member journey from day one. Share insights from leads and members that improve marketing, programming, and service delivery. Participate in regular sales trainings and team huddles to grow your skillset and impact.

Support Your Team:

Collaborate closely with your GM and teammates. Help fill in for floor coverage as needed. Support the Fitness Director with training and onboarding new coaches Provide feedback and communication from our member base to improve the overall experience. What You Bring Change these to be relevant to the Program Specialist 1-3 years of experience in fitness, hospitality, or customer service. A willingness to learn and try new things. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Detail-oriented, conscientious, and dependable. Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms) and CRM platforms (e.g., Mindbody Online). Sales experience is a plus but not required.
