Responsibilities Lead engaging and safe Mat Pilates classes for groups of varying skill levels, ensuring proper technique and form. Demonstrate exercises clearly, providing modifications and progressions to accommodate individual needs. Design and adapt Pilates programs that align with clients' fitness levels, goals, and any physical limitations. Motivate clients through energetic coaching, encouraging consistency and perseverance in their fitness journey. Maintain a clean, organized studio environment and ensure all equipment is used safely and correctly. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, answering questions, and offering personalized guidance when needed. Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and best practices in Pilates instruction, biomechanics, anatomy, and physiology. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching Mat Pilates or related group fitness classes within the fitness industry. Certification in Pilates instruction from a recognized organization; additional certifications such as Yoga or Yoga instruction are a plus. Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, and body mechanics relevant to Pilates exercises. Demonstrated ability to motivate clients through coaching techniques rooted in physical fitness training and motivational fitness coaching. Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach exercise routines clearly and effectively. Physical fitness training experience including heavy lifting, manual handling, or sports coaching is advantageous. Valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certification required; first aid certification preferred. Experience working in health clubs or gym environments with a focus on group fitness classes is highly desirable.
