Now Hiring at the Boll Family YMCA For Weekday Evenings Pilates Instructor YMCA Employee Benefits FREE Family Membership & Discounted Access to Programs Flexible Scheduling Family-friendly Work Environment Employee Assistance Program & Retirement Plan General Function The Group Ex Instructor (Les Mills) will be responsible for instructing group training classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that welcomes people of all skill and fitness levels.
Education/Experience/Training/Certifications Required certifications:
Area of Expertise, CPR, First Aid, AED, national certification (ACSM, ACE, AFAA, ISSA, NASM, NESTA, NETA, NPTI, NSCA) in personal training 1 year of experience teaching group wellness classes is preferred, not required Proven knowledge of exercise science, movement coaching, and movement competency Completion of YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire Job Duties & Responsibilities Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed, to accomplish YMCA mission and goals Asks and answers questions within their scope of knowledge from participants and members Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members Observes and adjusts approach to support all participants' capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture Performs other assigned duties as directed by Supervisor Abilities & Skills Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
