Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, responsible, and personable individuals to join our team as a Personal Trainer. In this role, you will lead clients safely and effectively to achieve their personal fitness and wellness goals. Personal Trainers work under the direction of the Fitness Coordinators at the Marsh and Williston Centers. This is a part-time position with flexible hours.
Please Note:
This position will be Small Group Session focused with Evening availability. Ensure proper use and maintenance of all fitness and exercise equipment at the Marsh and Williston Centers, promoting safe and efficient operations. Communicate equipment issues, training concerns, or member needs to the Fitness Coordinators. Assist members in developing proper techniques and skills to participate safely in exercise programs. Provide information and guidance to members, guests, and staff regarding personal training sessions and opportunities. Lead participants through safe and effective activities, including aerobic, strength, and functional training. Complete all required forms related to medical history, doctor's permissions, injuries, complaints, and special requests.
Other Job Functions:
Communicate member concerns, complaints, or feedback to the Fitness Coordinators. Serve as a substitute instructor for fitness classes, as experience and expertise allow. Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Commitment to and alignment with Minnetonka's shared values. Current Personal Training certification from a nationally accredited organization (e.g., NATA, AFAA, ACE). Current CPR certification (ARC or AHA). Strong customer service skills, including the ability to address client concerns professionally.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous health club or related personal training experience. First aid certification.
Work Schedule:
Flexible Part-time position with evening and weekend hours. Training sessions at Marsh and Williston Reports to the Sr.
Fitness Coordinator Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Safe and effective teaching practices and use of all equipment.
Skilled in:
Effectively dealing with the privacy concerns of clients. The development of safe and individualized exercise plans.
Ability to:
Instruct others in the use of a variety of health fitness and athletic equipment. Learn Williston Center policies, programs and practices.
