Gold's Gym isn't a hobby gym, and this isn't a hobby job. What This Role Really Entails This is a performance-based coaching position inside one of the most recognized fitness brands in the world. Your success here will depend on Your ability to coach, not count reps Your ability to build relationships, not just programs Your willingness to work the floor and earn clients Your consistency, professionalism, and personal standards If you care about being mentored We don't hand out full schedules; We provide the platform- you build the business. This Job Is Results-Based Your performance will be measured by: Client retention, Client results, Session volume, Professional conduct, Member engagement on the floor. If you are uncomfortable being measured by outcomes, this role will not be a fit Responsibilities Coach 1-on-1 personal training sessions Program smart, safe, results-driven workouts Educate clients on movements, recovery, and basic nutrition Build strong relationships that drive retention and referrals Deliver high-quality, individualized training sessions Actively engage members on the gym floor daily Convert fitness assessments into long-term clients Track measurable client progress (strength, body comp, performance) Maintain a clean, organized, professional training space Uphold Gold's Gym brand standards in appearance and conduct Communicate clearly, follow up consistently, and show up on time - every time What Sets Our Top Trainers Apart Our most successful trainers Approach training as a career, not a fallback Are comfortable discussing pricing and packages Follow up with leads relentlessly and professionally Continue their education without being told Care deeply about client success - and it shows Carry themselves like professionals inside and outside the gym This Is NOT the Job for You If You sit on your phone between sessions You wait for clients to come to you You think certification = competence You avoid sales conversations You cancel sessions frequently You're not training yourself consistently You struggle with punctuality or professionalism You view this as a temporary side gig Requirements Nationally recognized Personal Training certification (NASM, ACSM, ACE, NPTI, ISSA, NSCA, etc.) CPR/AED certification (current) Minimum 1 year of coaching experience and experience growing and managing your books Ability to work evenings, and/or weekends Professional appearance and communication skills Physically able to demonstrate exercises and be active on the floor Gold's Gym complies with federal and state disability laws and makes reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities.
