We are agile and our goal is to help people age gracefully in their bodies. We provide yoga and fitness classes to multiple locations in Abq during the morning and mid day. Daytime availability is required for this position! Class days and times may be flexible to fit your schedule!

• Overview:

• We are seeking a professional and certified Yoga Instructor and/or certified Fitness Instructor with specialized experience and/or training in teaching senior citizens to join our team.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEACH ALL THAT IS LISTED, JUST ONE OR MORE.

This position is in a private residential facility. As an Instructor, you will need to be able to lead classes for an active aging population, create a welcoming environment, and help students improve their physical and mental well-being. As an Instructor, you will need to be comfortable offering multilevel, senior accessible, aerobics, aqua, Zumba, or similar type classes to an active aging community. Not all of these styles are required. Classes are 45 mins long. You have no side work. You do not have to secure a building. Just teach!

• Willing to train you if not experienced with Senior Citizens

• Duties:

• Lead classes for students of all levels and abilities
• Create and deliver safe, comprehensive, and engaging sessions
• Provide guidance on proper techniques and alignment
• Offer modifications to accommodate varying skill levels and physical abilities
• Develop class plans that align with the facility's philosophy and goals
• Maintain a clean and organized yoga studio space(cleaning crew provided. You will have minimal duties here)

• Requirements:

• Certification as a Yoga/Fitness Instructor
• Proficiency in demonstration of Chair and props for assistance in class
• Strong knowledge of common issues of the aging body mechanics and physiology
• Experience in teaching group fitness or related disciplines. (Fitness position only)
• Passion for promoting health and wellness

Nice-to-have Skills:
