Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a confident, energetic, and knowledgeable Yoga Instructor to lead thoughtful, challenging, and accessible yoga classes for a wide range of clients. Our classes are rooted in great coaching, intentional movement, proper form, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. The right instructor knows how to make yoga feel both approachable and challenging. You should be able to read the room, offer smart modifications, teach with purpose, and motivate clients without taking yourself—or the practice—too seriously. This is a paid position for an instructor who cares deeply about movement, community, and creating a class experience that makes people want to come back. Responsibilities Lead engaging, well-structured group yoga classes for a variety of experience levels and abilities. Create classes that balance challenge, mobility, strength, breath, and intentional movement. Coach proper alignment, technique, and body mechanics while providing clear, concise cues. Demonstrate poses, transitions, and breathing techniques clearly and confidently. Offer thoughtful modifications and progressions so clients can work at an appropriate level. Encourage clients to challenge themselves while prioritizing safety, control, and quality of movement. Bring energy and personality to the room while maintaining a professional, inclusive, and client-focused environment. Be attentive to the room and adjust your coaching when clients need more explanation, a modification, or an additional challenge. Understand basic anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics and apply that knowledge to your teaching. Follow all studio health and safety procedures, including first aid and CPR protocols. Create a welcoming experience where clients feel seen, supported, challenged, and comfortable being themselves. Communicate professionally with clients and staff and address questions or concerns appropriately. Help maintain a clean, organized studio and ensure equipment is handled and stored safely. Arrive prepared and on time, with music, class programming, and equipment ready before clients enter the room. Requirements Current Yoga Instructor certification from a recognized training program. Experience teaching group yoga classes; experience in a boutique fitness environment is a plus. Strong understanding of anatomy, alignment, body mechanics, and safe movement. Ability to confidently coach a room while providing individual modifications when needed. Excellent verbal communication and cueing skills. High energy, professionalism, and a genuine ability to connect with clients. Ability to create a class that feels challenging without feeling intimidating or exclusive. Current CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain certification. Ability to safely assist with moving or lifting studio equipment when necessary. The Right Fit We're looking for someone who is a great coach first and a great yoga teacher second . You don't need to take yourself too seriously, but you do need to take your clients, your craft, and their safety seriously. You should be comfortable teaching a room full of different bodies, personalities, and experience levels, and know how to make every person feel like they belong there. Most importantly, you should genuinely enjoy what you do. Your energy sets the tone for the room.
