A Personal Trainer or Fitness Instructor develops customized exercise and fitness programs for clients. Reviews health and fitness goals, teaches correct and safe exercise technique, monitors progress and provides encouragement for clients. Leads fitness and exercise classes at a community center, club or pool. Teaches aerobics, water, strength building or other exercises and maintains equipment.

Class formats include, but are not limited to: TRX, Barre, Pound, Boot Camp, Kickboxing, conditioning workouts, dance fusion classes, abdominal & lower back, strength training, HIIT training, Zumba, hip-hop, Spinning, TRX Pilates, and yoga. Assist with maintenance of equipment. Enforce facility and program policies.
Education and Experience:
Previous group fitness teaching experience. Knowledge of strength training and cardiovascular exercise. National fitness certification ( NSCA , ACSM , ACE , AFAA , NASM or equivalent), Adult CPR / AED or acquired w/in 30 days of hire.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to conduct safe and effective classes. Good communication skills.
