Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team at Perry Chiropractic and Wellness Center. We are looking for a personal trainer to lead group fitness classes, ideally with mat and reformer Pilates certifications. RYT-200 certification is a huge bonus! We currently offer yoga classes and would like to offer a few more intermediate and faster paced options. This will be our first introduction into group fitness classes and Pilates. Responsibilities Lead diverse group fitness classes with enthusiasm, ensuring participants are engaged and motivated throughout each session. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, emphasizing biomechanics, anatomy knowledge, and safe manual handling practices. Design and adapt fitness programs tailored to different skill levels and individual needs while maintaining high energy and motivation. Provide clear instruction on exercise routines such as Pilates, yoga, cycling, body mechanics, and sports coaching to maximize effectiveness and safety. Monitor participants' form and technique during classes to prevent injury and promote correct body mechanics; offer modifications as needed. Ensure all classes adhere to health and safety standards by maintaining CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certifications. Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their progress, fitness goals, and class schedules. Requirements Proven experience in the fitness industry with a strong background in group fitness instruction, personal training, or sports coaching. Certifications in Pilates instruction and yoga instruction highly desirable; CPR/AED certification is mandatory. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, body mechanics, manual handling techniques, and health club safety protocols. Demonstrated ability to teach diverse exercise routines confidently while motivating participants of all levels. Physical fitness training experience with the ability to perform heavy lifting and demonstrate exercises safely. Excellent communication skills with a passion for coaching clients toward their health goals in a supportive manner. Familiarity with gym equipment operation and experience in delivering engaging group fitness classes such as dance-based workouts or sports coaching sessions.
