Job Description

Group Fitness Coach / Personal Trainer - Iron Family Fitness (Painesville, OH) Most gyms provide equipment. Iron Family Fitness provides something that is harder to find: a gym built on relationships, shared goals, and a belief that every person who walks through our doors deserves to feel supported, challenged and celebrated.

Who You Are:
You are not just looking for a place to collect a paycheck. You are someone who lights up when you help a person nail a movement they have been struggling with. You stay late to answer a question. You show up early because you love it and want to be fully prepared. You'll clean without being asked, you will cover when a teammate is sick, and you genuinely care about the people in your gym. You are growth oriented and will be the first to admit when you don't know something; and then be the first to go figure it out. You are reliable and trustworthy You understand that culture is built in the small moments and you take pride in every single one of them YOU ARE AUTHENTIC and our members can tell the difference!
What You'll Do:
Lead personal training, large and small group sessions Modify, adjust, and scale workouts to meet every fitness level in the room Demonstrate proper technique and provide effective coaching cues Build genuine, long-lasting relationships Host check in meetings with clients to discuss goals Create a training environment that is fun, safe, and welcoming Show up for teammates - cover sessions, pitch in, be present, attend events and meetings Contribute to programming, courses, and community growth Participate in ongoing education
What We're Looking For:
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or Group Fitness Certification (Or working/willing to obtain one) background in group coaching, small group, and/or 1:1 training is preferred Early mornings 5:30am - 10am and/or evenings 4pm-7:30pm.
Knowledge:
Strong foundation in functional movement patterns, barbell work, and nutrition
Character:
Authentic, self-motivated, and someone who holds themselves accountable
Communication:
Easy to talk to, strong communicator, good with people, comfortable leading a room
Team Mindset:
the kind of person who takes out the trash without people told
Proximity:
Live close to Perry - you are invested in the community
Growth Mindset:
always looking to learn, improve and raise the bar

This is a part time position, with the opportunity to grow. For the right person, there is no ceiling here. Coaches who step up, take ownership of personal training and semiprivates clients and invest in the community will find a path to a much larger role. We want to build something together, not just fill a shift!
