ADAPTIVE FITNESS TRAINER
(ENTRY LEVEL) 30 hours per week, no weekend hours required Fitness Trainers, Inc. | Home of the Fighting Back Scholarship Program Malvern, PA Are you interested in a career in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Science, or Rehabilitation? Fitness Trainers, Inc., home of the Fighting Back Scholarship Program, is seeking a compassionate and motivated individual to join our team as an Adaptive Fitness Trainer. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with individuals recovering from life-altering injuries, illnesses, and disabilities while making a meaningful difference in their lives.
ABOUT US
Founded in 1989, the Fighting Back Scholarship Program provides individualized fitness training to individuals who have completed rehabilitation but need ongoing support to improve strength, mobility, independence, and quality of life. Our participants include individuals living with: Brain injury. Stroke. Neurological conditions. Amputation. Age-related disabilities. Other complex medical conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide one-to-one and small group fitness training. Assist participants in achieving individualized fitness and wellness goals. Support a safe, encouraging, and inclusive training environment. Maintain training records and participant documentation. Assist with scheduling and administrative tasks. Support fundraising and special events throughout the year. Collaborate with staff, participants, and families.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, organized, and self-motivated. Passion for helping others. Experience with individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.
