JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Penn State College of Medicine, University Fitness Center, in Hershey, PA is seeking a part time Pilates instructor. The purpose of this position is to serve as a provider of specialized Pilates services in the Pilates Studio.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Providing individualized one-on-one training and duet training sessions.
  • Consult and network with physicians or health care providers when needed to prescribe Pilates training for a variety of populations, including medically-complicated individuals.
  • Complete appropriate assessments applicable to Pilates programming.
  • Provide group programming in either classes or special interest workshops.
  • Represent the Pilates Studio and serve as health educator through participation in health fairs, studio open houses, or other special events.
  • Assist studio management in developing appropriate promotional materials, enforcing studio policies, and following cleaning/maintenance protocols specific to studio equipment.
The appropriate candidate must have a recognized Pilates comprehensive certification (i.e. Romana's Pilates, Peak Pilates, Authentic Pilates, Power Pilates, etc). Instructors-in-training who are enrolled in a teacher training course are also welcome to apply.
