Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Yoga Instructor role located at the Anderson Area YMCA in Anderson, SC. The Yoga Instructor will lead safe, engaging yoga classes for participants of varying ages and fitness levels, with a focus on proper alignment, breathing techniques, and mindfulness. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning class sequences, setting up and maintaining a welcoming studio environment, and offering posture modifications to support participant safety and accessibility. The instructor will provide clear verbal and visual cues, encourage members, and foster an inclusive environment that aligns with the YMCA's mission and values. Additional duties may include attending staff meetings and ensuring that equipment and spaces are clean and organized. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Yoga Instruction with experience leading group classes safely and effectively. Strong Teaching skills, including class planning, demonstration, and providing modifications. Clear and inclusive Communication skills to guide participants, give feedback. Current yoga teaching certification from a recognized organization. Knowledge of basic anatomy, injury prevention, and safe movement practices. Commitment to creating a welcoming, non-discriminatory, and supportive environment for all members. CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe. Flexible schedule, willing to work mornings and some weekends
