Part-Time (with growth opportunities) About The Steel Room The Steel Room is a private fitness studio in Maryville, TN with 12 years of impact in the local community. Founded by Christy, a world-class trainer with experience leading large gyms and building successful fitness businesses, The Steel Room was created to be different from big-box fitness. We focus on functional strength, intentional coaching, and real relationships. Our members don't just show up to sweat - they're known, encouraged, and challenged. Our coaches play a meaningful role in helping people build strength, confidence, and consistency that carries beyond the gym. The Opportunity We are hiring a Group Fitness Coach with a strong interest in early morning classes. This role is ideal for someone who sees coaching as more than a side gig and wants to be part of a studio where coaches matter and growth is intentional. You'll start by leading group classes and have the opportunity to expand into personal training and small group training as you grow with us. Availability Must be available to work at a minimum 2 mornings between 5:00 AM-10:00 AM, M-F. Class times vary; we're intentionally investing for growth and anticipate adding more classes in the near future.Current Sessions times:

Applicants must be able to consistently coach at least 2 early morning classes per week (5:00 AM and/or 6:00 AM). Reliability in early mornings is essential — our members depend on it. What You'll Do Coach functional strength-based group fitness classes Lead with energy, clarity, and strong coaching cues Create a welcoming, motivating environment for members Ensure safe movement and proper technique Set up and break down equipment efficiently Represent The Steel Room's culture, standards, and mission Communicate well with leadership and fellow coaches Training & Growth Path Internal training and certification through our Head Trainer Opportunities to add specialized classes Pathway into personal training and small group training Long-term potential for expanded leadership responsibilities We invest in coaches who show up consistently and care deeply about people.Qualifications Required:
Fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, CF-L1, or similar) Ability to reliably coach early morning classes Strong communication and presence in front of groups Coachable, professional, and growth-oriented mindsetPreferred:
