We believe yoga should be welcoming without being watered down, challenging without being exclusive and supportive without limiting what students can achieve. Our classes combine purposeful movement, thoughtful sequencing, strength, breath and intentional recovery to help students build stronger bodies and deeper practices. Our schedule includes a range of heated and non-heated yoga, strength-focused movement, athletic conditioning and intentional recovery classes. Each format provides a clear foundation, while our teachers bring the experience to life through their knowledge, personality, creativity and connection with students. Who We're Looking For YogaSix Leander is seeking experienced, thoughtful and engaging teachers who want to create classes students look forward to—and practices they remain committed to. We are looking for teachers who can read a room, create a meaningful experience and help students discover what their practice can become. What You'll DoDeliver Engaging, Purposeful Classes Lead classes within YogaSix formats while bringing your own teaching voice, energy and perspective to the experience Develop thoughtful sequences that are appropriate for the format, class level and stated intention Provide meaningful physical and technical challenge without creating an intimidating environment Offer clear options that allow students to support, intensify or explore their practice Use intelligent cueing, demonstration and observation to help students move safely and with greater awareness Create a complete class experience through music, pacing, lighting, breath and intentional transitions Balance effort and recovery so students leave feeling challenged, accomplished and supported Help Students Develop Their Practice Teach beyond the shape of a pose by helping students understand alignment, engagement, breath and movement Encourage curiosity, consistency and progression rather than perfection Recognize opportunities to help students explore their next step Support newer yogis without allowing the entire class experience to become beginner-centered Create space for experienced students to continue building strength, skill and depth Build Authentic Community Arrive prepared and early enough to welcome students and create a strong classroom environment Learn students' names, goals and practice preferences Engage members and prospects before and after class Help first-time students feel oriented, included and confident about returning Celebrate progress and build relationships that extend beyond a single class Support appropriate post-class introductions to the studio team when a prospect needs help choosing classes or membership options Contribute to the Studio Participate in teacher meetings, coaching sessions and continuing education Support studio priorities, themed classes, community events and occasional off-site classes Communicate openly with studio leadership about student feedback, class opportunities and areas for improvement Collaborate with fellow teachers while respecting the individuality of each teacher's approach Maintain a clean, organized and professional practice space Be a dependable and visible member of the YogaSix Leander community What You Bring Minimum 200-hour Yoga Alliance-recognized teacher training certification Current CPR certification At least two years of teaching experience preferred Strong knowledge of yoga postures, transitions, sequencing, anatomy and modifications The ability to create and communicate a clear class intention Confidence teaching in a heated environment An authentic, engaging presence and genuine interest in people The ability to accept feedback and translate coaching into stronger teaching A positive, flexible and team-oriented mindset Strong preparation, communication and time-management habits Availability to teach at least three classes per week across a minimum of two days Experience teaching power yoga, slow flow, heated yoga, yoga sculpt, strength-based yoga or core-focused formats is especially valuable.
