Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant team as an independent contractor Group Fitness Instructor and ignite enthusiasm for health and wellness in our community! You'll be providing 30-45minute classes to residents of luxury apartment complexes-no need to quit your other jobs either! In this dynamic role, you'll lead engaging group fitness classes that motivate participants to achieve their fitness goals while fostering a positive, energetic environment. Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotyslvania area Responsibilities Lead diverse group fitness classes such as pilates, barre, yoga, water aerobics, tai chi, Zumba, core, yoga sculpt etc., with enthusiasm and professionalism. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and ensure participants perform routines safely by providing clear instructions and modifications. Design engaging workout programs tailored to different skill levels and fitness objectives, incorporating principles of biomechanics, physiology, and body mechanics. Motivate participants through energetic coaching, positive reinforcement, and personalized feedback to maximize engagement and results. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to manual handling procedures, first aid protocols, CPR/AED operation, and maintaining equipment safety standards. Stay current with industry trends by continuing education in areas such as anatomy knowledge, sports coaching experience, or new fitness modalities. Requirements Proven experience in delivering group fitness classes across various disciplines such as yoga, Pilates, , dancing, or coaching. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation is mandatory; additional certifications like First Aid are highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics to ensure safe exercise execution. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants effectively. Physical fitness training background with the ability to demonstrate exercises clearly. Experience working within health clubs or fitness environments is advantageous; familiarity with gym equipment and exercise routines is essential. $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
