Job Description

The Club at Glenmore, a private club located in Keswick, VA, approximately five miles east of Charlottesville on rt. 250, is currently seeking to expand its part-time fitness instructor staff. We currently have several openings in our group class schedule that we're looking to fill. Please let us know what you're interested in and what your availability looks like when applying. There is some flexibility to the classes and times we're looking for, especially for a candidate who is a good fit. Ideally we're looking for: A HIIT/Strength/Cardio/Core instructor who can teach two classes on Monday mornings, one from 6:30-7:30am and a second from 8-9am. A HIIT/Strength/Cardio/Core instructor who can teach a class every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8-9am. A HIIT/Strength/Cardio/Core instructor who can one class on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 8-9am. We can also offer more hours for anyone who can fill in for other instructors as needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Personal training and small group training opportunities are also available. Instructors must be prompt, creative, energetic, and be willing and able to work with a variety of ages and fitness levels, and must be knowledgeable in supplying modifications for those in need so as to be able to engage all participants. Instructors will be responsible for setting up workout programs and maintaining class schedules, and for setting up and breaking down/cleaning equipment if needed. All certifications and formats are welcome.
Qualifications:
Need to be CPR certified. National group exercise certification (specialty certifications included) preferred. At least one year of experience instructing in a health and wellness setting preferred Need to have a personal training certification to offer personal training. For classes, compensation is $30-40 per hour/class depending on experience. The commission rate on personal training is to be determined with Sport Program Manager, again based on experience.
