The Trainer must have experience in training youth and teen athletes and adults, a basic understanding of human physiology, and the energy / passion to motivate a group of young athletes who want to improve their speed and athletic performance, as well as adults interested in moving better, feeling better looking better and getting better. This is a full-time position based in the Athletic Republic Springfield training center located at 7401 Fullerton Rd Springfield
VA 22153.
Specific Responsibilities:
◦ Lead AR training classes during morning, afternoon and evening hours, and on Saturday mornings. ◦ Utilize AR training protocols and adjust daily workouts to emphasize metabolic and neurologic development, while offering individual athletes exercise modifications to accommodate any injury or issue. ◦ Become familiar with all aspects of the AR training program, including the scheduling and point-of-sale system, digital protocol delivery, proper coaching techniques, and the AR Athlete Management System for managing athlete development to deliver an outstanding athlete training experience. ◦ Be proficient in leading an initial training trial and selling new customer prospects on the training services. ◦ Complete AR Trainer certification Level 1 within the first month of employment and AR Level 2 certification within the first [six] months of employment. Participate in continuing education courses and trainer tune-up sessions that AR offers. ◦ Contribute to the centers' effort to retain customers, encourage referrals, and attract new customers. ◦ Understand how best to utilize the training equipment, training protocols, training technology and athlete assessment resources, and provide feedback to the athletes while training. ◦ Contribute to keeping the center clean and organized and handle the center's the opening or closing responsibilities as directed by the General Manager and/or Head Trainer. ◦ Contribute to center's community outreach, partnership, and sales efforts. ◦ Deliver quality customer service and support through every customer interaction. ◦ Support a culture that delivers training in a safe, legal, moral, ethical manner to help athletes achieve their goals. Qualifications- Experience as a sports performance trainer, youth sports training leader, working on the training floor of a boutique fitness studio, working as a university strength and conditioning coach, or coaching youth / teen sports.
- Certifications in group fitness instruction or personal training from recognized organizations (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM) are highly preferred
- Strong and credible communication and presentation skills
- Experience with delivering customer service in a setting where servicing the "client" is a top priority
- Ideal candidate must be energetic, personable, highly motivated and comfortable working with young athletes.
Position Details:
- This is a full-time position that is expected to work between 35- 40 hours per week.
- Compensation is competitive and the option to deliver personal training services for additional compensation during off-peak hours is available to the right sports trainer.
- The position may lead to additional training and management opportunities within the location, or elsewhere in the Athletic Republic national network.
