Job Description

Personal Trainer (Part-Time) Innovations Now, LLC - Madison, WI Make Fitness Meaningful. Innovations Now, LLC is seeking a certified Personal Trainer to work one-on-one with young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Madison community. Our mission is rooted in person-centered support, independence, and community inclusion . We believe our clients should have access to the same fitness spaces, opportunities, and experiences as their peers. Through individualized fitness coaching, we help young adults build strength, confidence, healthy routines, and self-belief. Position Overview The Personal Trainer will work directly with clients to develop and implement individualized fitness plans that support their personal goals. Sessions may include strength training, cardio workouts, walking clubs, and general wellness routines. Workouts take place in community fitness settings near UW-Madison's campus and surrounding areas. Schedule & Hours 5-20 hours per week Must have availability on Mondays and Wednesdays Additional scheduling is flexible Ideal for students, trainers building clientele, or those with other work/family commitments Typically 2-3 days per week, 2-5 hours per day We value flexibility and will work with your class schedule or other obligations whenever possible. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one personal training sessions to young adults with disabilities Adapt and modify exercises to meet varying ability levels Support clients in building confidence and independence in fitness settings Encourage healthy routines and goal-setting Promote inclusion by supporting clients in community-based fitness environments Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Additional duties as assigned by the CEO Qualifications Current Personal Training Certification (required) Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred but not required) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to motivate and encourage individuals at all fitness levels Positive, patient, and inclusive mindset Reliable transportation Why Work With Innovations Now?
