Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A contracted travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Ester, AK, offering the chance to support hospital pharmacy operations and provide expert medication management within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Verify and process standard hospital pharmacy orders with accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy. Manage medication dispensing and provide clinical support as needed. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience in a hospital setting. Experience with standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification is required. Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system is preferred. Hold an active Alaska pharmacist license or temporary license accepted; candidates without an active license must apply within 24 hours of acceptance. Ability to work holiday shifts as needed, which are typically 4-5 hours in duration.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts with flexible start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Variable days of the week including weekends. Scheduling designed to avoid back-to-back early and late shifts for optimal work-life balance.
