Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Pharmacist position based in North Pole, AK, offering a 26-week contract starting on October 12th. The role involves working variable 8-hour shifts with start times ranging from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, including weekends. Holiday shifts are required as needed and are typically shorter, lasting 4-5 hours. Responsibilities include managing standard hospital pharmacy orders and performing product verification to ensure accuracy and patient safety. Pharmacists will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal medication therapy and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience Proficient in handling standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification Experience with Cerner pharmacy systems preferred Must hold an active Alaska Pharmacist license or a temporary AK license If license is not active at time of application, candidates must commit to applying for temporary AK licensure within 24 hours of accepting an offer
Schedule:
8-hour shifts with varying start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM Rotating days including weekends Holiday shifts as needed, 4-5 hours in duration An 11 AM shift is generally not followed by a 7 AM shift the next day
