Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract To Hire This opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead a specialty retail pharmacy team in a dermatology-focused setting. As the Interim PIC, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations and manage a team of two pharmacy technicians, ensuring high-quality service and efficient workflow. This contract-to-hire role offers the potential to transition into a permanent position if mutually beneficial.
Location:
Mobile, AL Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00
PM Duration:
13 weeks with contract-to-hire potential
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage pharmacy operations within a specialty retail environment Supervise and support a team of two pharmacy technicians Oversee dispensing and preparation of medications, including nonsterile compounding of creams and gels (a plus) Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations Collaborate closely with dermatology providers to meet patient needs Maintain accurate records and manage inventory using pharmacy systems
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Pharmacy Manager or PIC Dermatology pharmacy experience is beneficial but not mandatory Experience with nonsterile compounding preferred Familiarity with New Leaf software is helpful but not required Strong leadership and communication skills This role offers a manageable patient volume and the chance to work in a specialized pharmacy alongside dermatology providers.
