STAFF PHARMACIST
include, but aren't limited to: Verification of new and reordered medication and treatment orders. Screening for drug interactions, allergies, and appropriate medication therapy. Communicate with management, co-workers, prescribers, nurses, and administration at our nursing facilities. Enter, verify, and potentially compound sterile and non-sterile compounded orders. Provide final review of drug orders and prescriptions. Verify medication canisters prior to entry into the DOSIS machine. Verify medications that will be loaded into Pyxis machines. Assist in maintaining the inventory of the pharmacy, including a perpetual inventory of schedule II medications. Knowledge of federal and state laws governing the practice of pharmacy. ThePHARMACIST
