Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem This per diem pharmacist opportunity supports a dynamic retail pharmacy team in Glendale, AZ, focused on providing excellent patient care through flexible staffing. The position is ideal for experienced pharmacists available 2-4 days a week to assist with call outs, vacations, or volume spikes. Flexibility and readiness to cover diverse shifts ensure smooth pharmacy operations during peak times. Pharmacy operations are Monday through Saturday, generally from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with some locations closing at 8:00 PM. Shift hours vary, and while specific hours cannot be guaranteed, pharmacists are essential in maintaining consistent coverage across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert pharmaceutical care and consultation in retail pharmacy settings Collaborate with technician teams or independently manage pharmacist-only smaller sites Administer immunizations as authorized Utilize QS1 pharmacy management system effectively Complete a dedicated 8-hour training shift to ensure site and process familiarity, with additional training available as needed
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed pharmacist with immunization privileges and current BLS certification Minimum of 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred Strong clinical and communication skills to support high-volume prescription environments (average 100-125 prescriptions per day) Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and adapt to pharmacist-only site responsibilities
