Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A full-time pharmacist position is available for dedicated professionals seeking to contribute to patient care within a 200-bed hospital setting. This opportunity emphasizes collaboration, medication safety, and education as key components of the role and offers a structured night shift schedule that supports work-life balance.
Location:
Tucson, AZ (Med Center facility)
Schedule/Hours:
Night shift, 7 days on / 7 days off Wednesday through Tuesday schedule
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing to optimize patient treatment Provide education and guidance on medication use for nursing staff, patients, and physicians Lead medication safety initiatives to minimize errors and ensure compliance Manage patient profiles, monitor for adverse drug reactions, and report appropriately Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and maintain strict narcotic accountability Desired Experience /
Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist with experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings Strong knowledge of drug therapies and patient care principles Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Competence in handling medication safety protocols and regulatory compliance Skill in preparation of IV and nutritional admixtures
