Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This role requires a licensed pharmacist with a strong focus on accuracy and adaptability to provide checking and verifying services within a busy pharmacy environment. The position is based in Scottsdale, AZ and offers a contract opportunity starting immediately for approximately 8-13 weeks. Candidates must be available to work flexible shifts between 8:00 AM-4:00 PM and/or 10:00 AM-6:00 PM, including possible Saturday coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough checking and verification of prescriptions ensuring accuracy and compliance Accurately count, dispense, and label medications according to established protocols Supervise pharmacy technicians to support efficient and safe pharmacy operations Maintain a clean and safe dispensing environment in strict adherence to Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Arizona pharmacist license required Proven ability to maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Dependable, punctual, accountable, and able to work independently or as part of a team Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Positive, interactive demeanor and a commitment to continual learning This contract opportunity suits a dedicated pharmacist eager to contribute fresh skills and uphold safety standards while adapting to variable schedules.
