Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract An engaging opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to serve as a checking/verifying pharmacist in a pharmacy setting. This contract position requires a dedicated professional who excels in accuracy, attention to detail, and supervisory capabilities. The role is located in Tempe, AZ, with an immediate start and a duration of approximately 8 to 13 weeks.
Schedule/Hours:
Flexible shifts between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and/or 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Possible Saturday coverage required
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and check prescriptions accurately to ensure patient safety Count, dispense, and label medications with precision Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance Ensure the pharmacy environment follows Arizona Board of Pharmacy policies for safety and cleanliness
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Arizona pharmacist license is required Strong accuracy and adaptability in performing pharmacy duties Dependable, punctual, and accountable work ethic Excellent attention to detail along with solid organizational skills Friendly, positive demeanor with effective interpersonal communication Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Willingness to follow directions and adapt to assigned tasks Proficient multitasking, problem solving, time management, and prioritization abilities Clear verbal and written communication skills Commitment to continual professional learning and growth This contract role is ideal for pharmacists who thrive in a dynamic, detail-oriented environment and can embrace flexibility in their scheduling.
