Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract This role offers an opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy expertise within a comprehensive health system that encompasses ambulatory care clinics and multiple hospitals. The position focuses on inpatient pharmacy services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication use and contribute to patient care rounds and clinical decisions.
Responsibilities:
Deliver clinical pharmacy services in inpatient settings Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy Manage safe and effective medication distribution Participate in patient care rounds and clinical decision-making Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications:
Valid pharmacist license and current certifications as required Approximately two or more years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience PGY1 residency strongly preferred; candidates with strong inpatient experience will be considered Ability to pass a competency exam (one attempt only) Successful completion of a background (Livescan) check
Location:
Los Angeles, CA Schedule:
Variable days and afternoons, typically four 10-hour shifts per week Flexible availability for first and second shifts; occasional third shifts may be required 8-hour shifts available with flexible scheduling This contract assignment typically ranges from 4 to 12 months and presents a pathway to a permanent role within the health system.
