Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A large healthcare system in California is seeking Clinical Staff Pharmacists for long-term contract opportunities across multiple hospital and outpatient settings. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists interested in gaining experience within a major health system, with the potential to transition into a permanent role offering strong compensation, benefits, and long-term career growth.
Responsibilities:
Perform order verification and ensure accurate medication dispensing Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams on medication therapies Provide clinical support including pharmacokinetics and therapeutic recommendations Support pharmacy operations across inpatient and/or outpatient settings Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
Qualifications:
Active California Pharmacist License (required) PGY1 residency highly preferred Will consider candidates without PGY1 who have some inpatient hospital experience (including intern experience) Willingness to work a long-term contract assignment
Skills:
Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work various shifts
Compensation:
$65-$70/hr
Work Hours:
8-hour shifts Must be flexible to work days, afternoons, and occasional nights
