Duties Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to optimize medication therapy and ensure safe medication administration Manage pharmacy inventory, including compounding medications and maintaining proper stock levels in accordance with USP 797 standards for sterile preparations Provide clinical pharmacy services such as immunizations, pain management, and medical management consultations Supervise and manage pharmacy teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering excellent patient service Utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR), and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for efficient workflow and documentation Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards, confidentiality policies like HIPAA, and pharmacy operations protocols Skills Extensive experience in critical care, pediatrics, LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy, community pharmacy, or clinical pharmacy settings Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, drug regulation, and medical terminology to support accurate patient assessment and medication management Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and familiarity with aseptic techniques for compounding medications Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members Demonstrated ability to practice as a pharmacist within the scope of practicing laws and healthcare compliance standards Experience managing pharmacy teams, inventory control, and ensuring pharmaceutical regulatory compliance including USP 797 standards for sterile preparations Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), immunizations certification, and relevant residency or specialized training in pharmacy practice are highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, drug regulation policies, clinical confidentiality policies, and practicing within the framework of state and federal pharmacy laws Join us in delivering top-tier pharmaceutical care that improves lives!
