Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract An immediate opening is available for a licensed pharmacist with hospital experience to contribute to a fast-paced inpatient setting. This contract opportunity, starting ASAP for a duration of 13 weeks or longer, offers the chance to apply pharmacy expertise while collaborating closely with clinical teams.
Location:
Based in Lodi, CA, with service coverage in the nearby Galt area
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and process medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and oversight to support efficient workflow Consult with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy and address clinical questions Utilize pharmacokinetic principles to adjust medication dosing as needed Work within electronic health record systems, currently Cerner and Omnicell, with an upcoming transition to
EPIC Qualifications:
Active California pharmacist license required Proven hospital pharmacy experience preferred Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell or similar health IT systems Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams This role requires a detail-oriented professional dedicated to precision and patient care. Experience supervising staff and managing complex medication regimens is highly valued.
