Key Responsibilities:
Manage comprehensive medication therapies, including laboratory test ordering, therapy selection, and adverse event management. Verify chemotherapy orders and protocols, ensuring accuracy, appropriate dosing, and patient safety. Provide education to patients and caregivers on treatment plans, chemotherapy side effects, and medication adherence. Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff during clinical rounds to guide treatment decisions. Participate in clinical trials, oversee investigational drug use, and contribute to the development of oncology protocols and guidelines. Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy required. Eligibility to obtain California pharmacist license. Completed PGY2 or fellowship in oncology, OR PGY1 plus 3 years as a clinical specialist in oncology, OR 5 years' clinical specialist oncology experience. Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) preferred. Strong clinical background (beyond staffing roles) with a focus on oncology patient care.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, day shifts.
