Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare system in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Pharmacist with chemotherapy experience to support inpatient and outpatient oncology services. This role involves working closely within a large hospital environment, managing medication therapy for oncology patients across multiple settings. Responsibilities include:
Dispensing and reviewing chemotherapy and other oncologic medications for inpatients and outpatients Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use Monitoring patient responses and managing adverse effects related to chemotherapy Participating in clinical rounds and patient education Maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications or Desired Experience:
Current pharmacist licensure with 2+ years of inpatient pharmacy experience Experience in chemotherapy and oncology pharmacy practice Preferred candidates include those with PGY1 residency training or equivalent experience Ability to pass a competency examination as part of the onboarding process Willingness to undergo Livescan background check and meet health system onboarding requirements
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Location:
Los Angeles, CA, within a major hospital of the county health system

This role begins with a contract assignment, designed to provide access to long-term employment opportunities within the county health department.
